Setting up MyHomeComfort Smart Home Integrations

Control 4, Matter and Building 36

Matter is a new smart home standard designed to make it easier for homeowners to connect and control compatible devices across multiple platforms. With Matter, your MyHomeComfort CA4 Communicating Thermostat can work seamlessly with popular smart home apps like Apple Home, Google Home, and other Matter‑enabled platforms using your existing home network.

Get Started

  1. 1 Make sure your MyHomeComfort CA4 Thermostat has been successfully upgraded to version 4.38 and is online.
  2. 2 Make sure your thermostat and smartphone or controller are connected to the same Wi‑Fi network.
  3. 3 Navigate to Main Menu > Settings
    • On the thermostat screen, tap “Make Discoverable”
    • On the next screen, tap “Show Setup Code”
    • A QR code or numeric setup code will appear
  4. 4 Open your preferred smart home app
    • Open a Matter‑compatible app (Google Home, Apple HomeKit, or SmartThings)
    • Select “Add Device” and scan the QR code or enter the setup code manually
  5. 5 Complete setup
    • Follow the instructions in the app to finish pairing
    • The thermostat will display “Pairing Successful” once setup is complete

  2. 2 This integration is backwards-compatible, meaning a MyHomeComfort CA4 Communicating that's already installed can be fully integrated with a new or existing Control4 platform.
